SCHEDULE: Monday–Friday: 3:00 - 7:00 PM (20 HPW Guaranteed)
CHILDREN: 5.5 years old, 3 years old (newborn arriving in October)
SALARY: $45-$47.50 + Guaranteed Hours + PTO Package

ABOUT THE FAMILY
At the heart of this position is a warm, busy, and very organized Noe Valley family preparing to welcome their third child this fall.
With children ages 5.5 and 3 and a new baby arriving in October, the family is looking for an experienced Nanny / Family Assistant who can step into the important afternoon and early evening hours and help everything come together smoothly.
The family will have dedicated support for their newborn, so this position will focus primarily on the older children, particularly their 5.5-year-old daughter, while also supporting the thoughtful Family Assistant around the household.
Their afternoons have a natural rhythm: preparing or finishing dinner, taking care of a few household tasks, school pickup, reconnecting with the children at the end of their day, dinner, bath time, and helping reset the home for the evening.
This is a tidy household, and they appreciate someone who is naturally organized and notices what needs to be done. They are not looking for someone who needs a detailed list each afternoon, but rather a professional who can read the room, take initiative, and become a trusted part of the family’s routine.
Most importantly, they hope to find someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with children. Their daughter would love someone who brings energy and creativity to their time together through art, music, games, chess, projects, conversation, and other age-appropriate interests.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is an experienced, polished, and self-sufficient Nanny / Family Assistant who enjoys the combination of meaningful childcare and helping a busy household run smoothly.
This person is confident in taking initiative and doesn’t need to be micromanaged. They can arrive in the afternoon, assess what needs attention, begin dinner preparation, take care of children’s laundry or tidying, and transition seamlessly into school pickup and the evening routine.
A genuine enjoyment of cooking would be a wonderful fit for this family. They would love someone comfortable preparing or finishing family meals and getting dinner on the table while keeping the kitchen organized along the way.
The right candidate will also be a safe and confident driver who is comfortable navigating San Francisco and school pickups.
Personality and professionalism are equally important. The family values someone emotionally intuitive who can read the room, communicate well, and understand how to be helpful without being intrusive.
They would especially appreciate someone with some flexibility who may occasionally be interested in additional hours, weekend support, or travel. These opportunities are a plus rather than a requirement.

CHILD RELATED DUTIES
Providing warm, attentive, and engaging care for the older children
Picking up the family’s 5.5-year-old from school in the afternoon
Driving the children safely to and from school, activities, and outings as needed
Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities such as art, music, games, chess, reading, and creative projects
Supporting the children’s afternoon and evening routines
Helping with bath time and transitions into the evening
Preparing and serving children’s meals and snacks
Preparing or finishing family dinner and helping have dinner ready for the family’s evening meal
Keeping children’s bedrooms, play spaces, and belongings tidy and organized
Managing children’s laundry and helping keep clothing and supplies organized
Tidying and resetting children’s spaces at the end of the day
Helping with kitchen and dinner cleanup
Anticipating upcoming needs and helping prepare for the following day
Communicating openly with the parents and other caregiver to ensure consistency and smooth transitions
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional nanny experience with preschool and school-age children
Warm, engaging, and genuinely enjoys interacting with children
Creative and interested in activities such as art, music, games, reading, and projects
Confident and safe driver
Comfortable driving and navigating San Francisco
Strong English fluency and excellent communication skills
Self-sufficient and comfortable working independently
Proactive and naturally able to anticipate household needs
Professional, discreet, and emotionally intuitive
Able to read the room and understand when and how to step in
Organized and comfortable working in a tidy household
Comfortable with light Family Assistant responsibilities
Confident with meal preparation and family cooking
Reliable, punctual, and consistent
Comfortable collaborating with another caregiver
Flexible and willing to occasionally increase hours when mutually agreed upon
Interested in developing a meaningful, long-term relationship with a family
REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Strong professional references
Prior professional nanny experience
Ability to confidently manage school pickups and transportation
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to make a long-term commitment
