THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Fern Family!
About the family:
A warm and welcoming family is looking for a dedicated and experienced Mandarin-speaking nanny to care for their 8-month-old baby in Menlo Park. The parents work from home and are excited to move from San Francisco in May to be closer to their grandparents. They are an active family that enjoys spending time outdoors and are looking for a nurturing, long-term caregiver to become a cherished part of their household. With no pets and no need for travel, they hope to find someone who will focus on fostering a loving, engaging, and educational environment for their little one.
The Ideal Candidate:
The family is seeking a warm, patient, and knowledgeable nanny who is fluent in Mandarin and passionate about early childhood development. Their ideal candidate will create a stimulating and loving environment for their baby, incorporating language immersion, sensory play, and developmental activities. They should have experience with infants, be proactive in establishing a consistent routine, and have a gentle approach to caregiving. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with parents are essential. The family hopes to find someone who will grow with them for years to come.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive, loving care for the baby, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
Engage the baby in age-appropriate developmental activities, including Mandarin language exposure through songs, stories, and play.
Maintain a consistent routine, including naps, feedings, and diaper changes.
Encourage outdoor play and exploration in the family's backyard and nearby parks.
Prepare healthy meals and snacks as the baby transitions to solid foods.
Keep nursery and play areas clean and organized.
Communicate regularly with parents about the baby’s progress and any concerns.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Fluency in Mandarin and English.
Previous experience caring for infants, with excellent references.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
Infant CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Up-to-date vaccinations, including Tdap and flu shots.
A warm, engaging, and patient demeanor.
Ability to commit to a long-term position.
A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.
Willingness to undergo two background checks.
Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.
Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
