THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Fern Family!

Our family, based in the beautiful Presidio Heights neighborhood of San Francisco, is a warm, active, and close-knit household with three young children (two energetic boys, 4.5 and 3.5, and a sweet 2-year-old girl). Their small, hypoallergenic cockapoo adds to the fun and lively atmosphere. The family values teamwork, communication, and creating a supportive environment for both their family and caregivers. With a second home in Sonoma and occasional travel plans, they are looking for a confident, proactive nanny who can seamlessly step into the role and help keep their busy, joyful household running smoothly. This position is ideal for a confident, proactive nanny who can take charge, stay organized, and support the family’s busy lifestyle while providing warm and attentive care to the children.

About the Role:
This is a rotational position with a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off, starting January 21st. The primary focus will be on the 2-year-old daughter, especially since the older boys will be in school from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The nanny will be responsible for everything related to the children, including laundry, linens, meal prep, and managing daily routines. The role involves a morning routine where the nanny will assist with getting the boys ready and dropping them off at school, while also managing the household during the day. The family can provide live-in accommodations only during your on weeks. Only local rotational candidates will be considered for this role. Occasional travel during ski weeks, family trips, and to their second home in Sonoma is needed! Get ready to join a supportive and collaborative family dynamic with a long-term nanny team.

Who You Are:
Our family is a returning genuine family. They are looking for a proactive, hands-on nanny who can handle the chaos of three young children. They prefer someone who is a self-starter and doesn't require constant check-ins, allowing for independence in decision-making. The nanny should be comfortable dividing responsibilities on weekends and must be able to drive, as there is a car available for use. Additionally, the family has a second home in Sonoma and is open to the nanny working at that location.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a nanny, preferably in a ROTA setting.

  • Must have experience with young children, particularly toddlers.

  • Ability to drive and a valid driver’s license.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing household duties related to children.

  • Must drive; preference for candidates with their own vehicle.

Responsibilities:

  • Full care of the children, with a focus on the 2-year-old daughter

  • Weekend divide-and-conquer support with parents

  • Handle afternoon pick-ups (5 PM) and provide care until parents return home (~6 PM)

  • Assist with transitions as their 2-year-old starts preschool in September; additional household management duties may be required at that time

  • Assist with morning routines, including getting the boys ready and dropping them off at school.

  • Manage laundry, linens, meal prep, and other household tasks related to the children.

  • Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for the children.

  • Communicate effectively with the parents regarding the children's needs and daily activities.

  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to the family’s environment.

  • A spotless driving record. Family car provided.

  3. Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.

  4. Able to make a long-term commitment.

  5. Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.

  6. Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

  7. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  8. CPR certification (if applicable).

  9. Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
