About Our Family:
We are a lighthearted and easygoing family that values respect, fun, and balance. Our home is a place where autonomy is encouraged, and each member is supported in pursuing their individual interests. We cherish family time and are committed to building lasting, positive relationships. Our previous nannies have been with us for several years, and we are excited to welcome someone who will become an integral part of our family dynamic. We have another nanny who helps out during the day, so the responsibility for all three children will be shared.
Our Parenting Philosophy:
We believe in maintaining clear boundaries while allowing our children the freedom to explore and learn. Positive reinforcement is key, and we encourage our kids to be respectful, polite, and considerate. We trust our nanny to handle day-to-day discipline in a manner that aligns with our values, providing autonomy within defined limits.
The Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal nanny is energetic, fun, and easygoing, with a proactive and positive attitude. You should have experience with children of similar ages and be comfortable engaging in their activities and managing household tasks such as cooking simple, healthy meals, cleaning, and organizing.
A good sense of humor and the ability to "read the room" are essential, knowing when to engage and when to provide the family with space. We value self-sufficiency and the ability to manage the children autonomously while respecting our established boundaries and discipline philosophy. A long-term commitment is important to us, as we hope to build a stable and lasting relationship with our nanny.
Responsibilities:
Provide attentive and loving care to our three children.
Engage in and facilitate the children's activities, including gymnastics, basketball, and piano practice.
Prepare simple, healthy meals for the children.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of the children's areas and assist with light household tasks.
Support the children's autonomy while enforcing clear boundaries and discipline in line with our family values.
Collaborate with parents to ensure a cohesive approach to the children's upbringing.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of professional nanny experience with school-aged children.
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
Ability to cook simple, healthy meals for children.
Strong organizational skills and a knack for keeping the home environment tidy.
Energetic, fun, and easygoing personality with a good sense of humor.
Ability to respect family privacy and know when to step back to allow for family time.
Proactive, self-sufficient, and capable of managing tasks independently.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Impressive references from past employers
Willingness to undergo background checks
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
