(50 hours per week guaranteed)

Our wonderful Lilac family is seeking a caring, reliable, and professional Family Assistant/ Nanny to join their home in the vibrant Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco. They are a warm, busy family with two charming children—a 6-year-old girl and a 2.5-year-old boy—and they are excited to find a loving, experienced caregiver who can become a trusted part of their daily routine. The two children are primarily in school for 6 out of the 10-hour days, so while the children are in school, the role will be focused making sure the household is running smoothly.

About the Role:
This full-time position is a blend of childcare and family support. When the children are at school, the role will shift to household assistance, including tasks like preparing healthy lunches, family dinners, light laundry, errands, and general tidying/organization. It’s a perfect opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, family-centered environment and enjoys contributing to both child development and household management.

You’re a warm, organized, and reliable Family Assistant with a deep love for children. You have experience caring for young children, particularly school-age kids, and are comfortable balancing childcare with household duties. You take pride in creating a nurturing, structured environment where kids can thrive. You have a positive, proactive attitude and enjoy being an integral part of a family’s routine.

The Lilac family has been lucky to have their current nanny for the past six years. She has been a cherished member of their family, shaping their daily routines with warmth, care, and fun. While they are sad to see her go, they are looking forward to welcoming a new caregiver who can bring their special energy and ideas into the family’s life.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a nanny or family assistant, particularly with young children

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage household tasks effectively

  • Warm, caring, and professional demeanor

  • Comfortable with light housekeeping duties and family meal prep

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-player attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children, encouraging their development through outdoor activities, creative play, and interactive imagination.

  • Manage the daily schedule, including pick-ups, ensuring they are punctual and well-prepared.

  • Assist with light organization and tidying of the children's surroundings.

  • Establish and maintain good boundaries with the children, fostering a nurturing and loving atmosphere.

  • Recent, long-term experience working with infants with a background in child development.

  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to the family’s environment.

  • A spotless driving record. Family car provided.

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.

  2. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  3. Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.

  4. Able to make a long-term commitment for a minimum of 3 years.

  5. Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.

  6. Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

  7. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  8. CPR certification (if applicable).

  9. Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
