THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Lilac Family!
About the Family
This warm and welcoming Lilac family in Atherton is looking for a nurturing, creative, and education-focused nanny to support their two active, sporty boys. The children thrive in a structured yet playful environment where learning is fun and engaging. The family values a balanced mix of academics, creativity, and outdoor play, and they are seeking someone who can foster that environment. The grandparents live nearby and love being involved in the children’s daily lives. The family also travels frequently, including spending 5-6 weeks in London during the summer, and while they would love for their nanny to join, it is not a requirement.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal nanny is patient, imaginative, and full of energy, with a background in education or child development. Experience working with children with attention deficit disorder is a plus, as one of the boys benefits from structured guidance to help with focus and learning. Someone who can make learning fun, plan creative and active activities, prepare simple, healthy meals, and foster independence in the children would be a great fit. The family is looking for someone the boys will be excited to see each day—a nanny who is engaged, and fun, and brings warmth to their routine.
Responsibilities:
Create fun, educational activities that keep the boys engaged
Support the children’s academic development and focus
Prepare healthy, easy meals for breakfast and lunch
Encourage outdoor play, sports, and creative projects
Tidy up after school drop-off and help with light household tasks
Coordinate with grandparents and involve them in the children’s daily lives
Provide full-day care on non-school days
Optional: Travel with the family to London in the summer
Requirements:
Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in an educational role
Degree in Education or Child Development (Master’s degree is a plus!)
Experience with attention deficit disorder is a plus
Creative, active, and engaging personality
Ability to foster structure, independence, and curiosity
Must-Have Qualifications:
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is a must
Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Impressive references from past employers
Willingness to undergo background checks and DMV check
Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
