THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Hydrangea Family!

A loving family located in Pac Heights, across from Lafayette Park, is seeking a Postpartum Support Nanny for their toddler, aged 22 months. With a new baby due on January 23rd via c-section, the family is looking for temporary support during this transition. However, if the match is right, there is potential for this role to become long-term.

About the Role:
This temporary position will start on January 20th. The primary focus will be on supporting their toddler while the family adjusts to the arrival of the newborn. The current live-in nanny will care for the newborn while you will provide dedicated attention to their toddler. The schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, with plenty of downtime during naps and while mom takes him out. Once mom has healed from her c-section, there is the possibility of extending to 8-hour days.

Who You Are:
The family currently has a live-in nanny who handles cooking but does not manage organizing or tidying. They are looking for someone who can assist with light household duties, meal prep, and lunches for Lucas. The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to care for both children, and supportive during this important time. Their toddler is a smart, active, and curious little boy. He would thrive with a fun, outgoing, and creative nanny who also knows how to set boundaries.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working with toddlers and newborns.

  • Ability to assist with light household tasks and meal preparation.

  • Flexibility in schedule, especially during the initial postpartum period.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a busy, hybrid-working parent

  • CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

  • A love for outdoor activities and fun, educational play

Responsibilities:

  • Create a nurturing and positive environment for our children, encouraging their development through outdoor activities, creative play, and interactive imagination.

  • Provide attentive care for their toddler, ensuring he is engaged and supported.

  • Assist with light household duties, including meal prep and tidying.

  • Be available for both children as needed, once mom is healed.

  • Support the family during the transition to having a newborn.

  • Assist with light organization and tidying of the children's surroundings.

  • Establish and maintain good boundaries with the children, fostering a nurturing and loving atmosphere.

  • Recent, long-term experience working with infants with a background in child development.

  • Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to the family’s environment.

  • A spotless driving record.

To ensure the success of our nanny position, we have established the following requirements:

  1. A minimum of 3-5 years of recent, professional experience in childcare.

  2. Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.

  3. Impressive references from past employers, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and exceptional childcare skills.

  4. Willingness to undergo two background checks, namely Trustline and Nanny Verify, ensuring the safety and security of our children.

  5. Valid U.S. citizenship or work authorization.

  6. Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

  7. CPR certification (if applicable).

  8. Current vaccinations, including flu, Tdap, and proof of Covid-19 vaccination and boosters.
