THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Violet Family!
Our warm, active Violet family lives in Dolores Park with their two children—a 4-year-old and a 2-year-old—and is excited to welcome a baby boy in July. They are looking for a long-term Family Assistant/Nanny who thrives in a dynamic, family-centered environment, enjoys organization and planning, and has a genuine love for working with young children.
This full-time role is perfect for a proactive, detail-oriented, and nurturing caregiver who can balance childcare with household management while adapting to the family's evolving needs. One parent works full-time with a demanding schedule and occasional evening commitments, while the other stays home but is often busy with household projects, meetings, and the children’s activities. The family prioritizes quality time together and seeks a nanny who can become an integral part of their daily rhythm.
Their 4-year-old loves to bike, scooter, do arts and crafts, dance, and read. She’s learning to ski and enjoys ballet, music class, and swimming lessons. She adores anything related to princesses, unicorns, and rainbows. Their 2-year-old is full of energy, loves to run, jump, and climb, and is fascinated by vehicles—especially garbage trucks and diggers. He enjoys music and currently takes a soccer class.
The family has a sweet dog and a second home in Lake Tahoe, where they travel every couple of months. They’d love to find someone who is open to occasional weeklong travel and potentially one or two bigger trips per year.
About the Role:
This full-time position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, is ideal for someone who is comfortable balancing structure with flexibility. The nanny will be responsible for engaging, attentive childcare, ensuring activities are stimulating and developmentally appropriate. They will support the 4-year-old’s transition to a new caregiver, as she is especially sensitive to change. Driving the children to and from school, classes, and activities will be part of the role, along with preparing healthy, balanced meals and snacks with a focus on nutrition. Light household management, including laundry, dishes, tidying, grocery runs, and keeping supplies stocked, will also be expected. The nanny will work closely with the stay-at-home parent, trading off responsibilities and supporting where needed. Occasional travel with the family may be required.
