THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Carnation Family!

Our loving Carnation family in Cow Hollow is seeking a high-caliber, caring, thoughtful, and proactive Family Assistant/Nanny to join their home. With two wonderful daughters (ages 7 & 13) and a new baby arriving in March, they are looking for a warm and flexible caregiver who can balance newborn care and after-school support for their older children.

This is a long-term position for a professional who is emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and enjoys being an integral part of a family’s daily life. If you take initiative, love working with children of multiple ages, and thrive in a dynamic household, this could be a perfect fit!

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly qualified nanny with 5-10 years of experience (not including personal child-rearing) to care for their children. Candidates must have completed their Early Childhood Education.

Fluency in Spanish, either as a first or second language, is essential. Additionally, extensive experience with newborns is vital, as we will require someone well-versed in caring for infants.

Bonus qualifications include knowledge of baby massage and other wellness practices for young children. We are looking for a nanny who embodies a high caliber of professionalism and expertise.

This full-time, Monday–Friday position (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM) will be split between newborn care during the day and after-school support for the older children. From 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, the focus will be on providing loving, developmentally-focused care for the family’s newest addition. From 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM, responsibilities will shift to assisting with afterschool pick-ups, homework help, activities, and meal prep for their two older daughters.

They would ideally like someone with their own car, though this is not a dealbreaker as parking is available, and the children's school is within walking distance. A nanny who is open to occasional travel or weekend help would also be a great fit for this role.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will be well-educated and dynamically interested in child development. They should be well-read and up-to-date on best childcare practices, with a keen interest in areas such as nap conditioning, nutrition, and stimulating play. We are looking for someone who can teach and guide us in baby brain development and overall childcare.

The ideal candidate is warm, engaging, and reliable. You enjoy staying active and engaged, whether it’s helping with homework, playing sports, or encouraging creativity through arts and crafts. You are emotionally intelligent, able to read the room, and anticipate needs without being micromanaged. Adaptability is key, as plans may shift, and the family appreciates someone who is flexible, proactive, and always ready to lend a hand where needed.

Strong communication skills are essential, as the family values open, honest conversations. If you have a musical background, particularly in piano, that would be a wonderful bonus. Spanish-speaking skills are preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education.

  • Previous experience as a nanny or family assistant, particularly with young children

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage household tasks effectively

  • Warm, caring, and professional demeanor

  • Comfortable with light housekeeping duties and family meal prep

  • Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-player attitude

  • Establish and maintain good boundaries with the children, fostering a nurturing and loving atmosphere.

  • Recent, long-term experience working with infants with a background in child development.
