THEIR GENUINE NANNY

Meet Our Lavender Family!

About the family

A warm, down-to-earth family in Palo Alto is seeking a nurturing and experienced nanny to help them transition into life as a family of four. With a joyful, curious 2.5-year-old daughter and a newborn, they are looking for someone who will become part of their family, providing attentive care, heartfelt engagement, and loving support as they embark on this new chapter.
Their ideal nanny is warm, present, patient, and proactive, balancing gentle structure with flexibility to meet the evolving needs of their newborn while also fostering their toddler’s blossoming independence and love of learning.

This is a household full of love, laughter, and curiosity. Both parents work from home but are deeply involved in their children's lives, cherishing every small moment. Their toddler is a fun-loving, inquisitive little adventurer who thrives on engagement and interaction. She adores peek-a-boo, hide-and-seek, dancing, and reading, and she’s always asking, "What is this?" and "What are you doing?"—so get ready for lots of fun conversations.

About the Role
Their ideal schedule is 7:00 am-4:00 pm or 7:00 pm. They are looking for an experienced caregiver who has extensive newborn experience but who can also support their toddler during the afternoons. The family enjoys a consistent yet relaxed routine, prioritizing quality time together while maintaining a calm and structured home environment. They deeply value kindness, respect, and open communication and would love to find a nanny who shares these values.

  • Attentive & Engaging – You genuinely love caring for babies and toddlers, ensuring they feel nurtured, safe, and stimulated.

  • Proactive & Supportive – You help maintain an organized, harmonious home by balancing childcare with light household support. Including but not limited to the family’s laundry, loading and emptying the dishwasher, and vacuuming once a week.

  • Patient & Communicative – You meet children with gentle guidance, modeling respect, and emotional regulation.

  • Experienced with Infants & Toddlers – You understand sleep schedules, developmental milestones, and the unique needs of each stage.

  • A True Family Team Player – You collaborate with Mom and Dad, keeping them updated and working together as part of their parenting village.

Responsibilities

  • Primary care for their newborn, ensuring a safe, loving, and developmentally enriching environment.

  • Age-appropriate activities for both their infant and toddler.

  • Light meal prep & household support related to the children (tidying, bottle prep, baby laundry, simple meals).

  • Maintaining a structured yet flexible routine for both children.

  • Keeping open communication with parents about the children’s needs and development.

Qualifications

  • Experience caring for newborns and toddlers with an understanding of early childhood development.

  • Trustline registered, CPR certified, and up-to-date on vaccinations (including COVID, with proof).

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (Mandarin a plus but not required).

  • Proactive, organized, and adaptable to the family's needs.

Must Have Requirements
