THEIR GENUINE NANNY
Meet Our Clover Family!
We are a loving family of four in San Carlos, CA, seeking a dedicated and professional Nanny/Family Assistant to care for our 4-year-old son, who has Autism. Our son is sweet, energetic, inquisitive, and loves creative play. We are looking for a long-term caregiver who will primarily focus on his daily needs, and help him thrive in a nurturing and structured environment. We also have a 9-year-old daughter, but the primary care and focus will be on our son.
About the Role:
You’ll be a vital part of our family, assisting with our son’s daily routines, which include everything from getting him ready in the morning to supporting his therapy sessions and bedtime routine. You’ll also help with his meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), his laundry, tidying up his play areas, and taking him to the park. If you enjoy cooking, it’s a bonus—especially if you're open to preparing meals for the family, although this is not a requirement.
On school holidays, we would love for you to take him to museums, parks, and other fun outings to engage his curiosity and encourage his development. The job involves a balance of both one-on-one time with our son and supporting the household in a warm, organized way.
Who You Are:
You’re a compassionate and patient caregiver who has experience working with children on the autism spectrum. You’re familiar with the structure and care that children with special needs require, and you enjoy fostering a sense of curiosity and creativity in your daily activities. Our son benefits from speech therapy and ABA therapy, so experience in these areas (or a willingness to learn) is a plus.
You’re organized, reliable, and have experience with school-age children. You enjoy being a part of a busy family environment and are comfortable taking the lead on daily tasks, routines, and activities. A calm, steady presence is key to helping our son navigate his world, and we are looking for someone who can bring both warmth and professionalism to our family.
A Little About Us:
We are a generous and welcoming Indian family, and our household is strictly vegetarian. While we would prefer that you not cook meat in our kitchen, you are welcome to bring your own food if you’d like.
We have a family car available for your use, and we do not have pets.
Qualifications:
Experience with children on the autism spectrum is preferred
Previous experience with school-age children
Ability to engage in creative play and provide a structured, nurturing environment
Comfortable with cooking for our son and, ideally, the family
Willingness to take our son to appointments, therapy, and outings (museums, parks, etc.)
Calm, patient, and proactive demeanor
Valid driver’s license and ability to use our family car
Comfortable with light housekeeping related to the child (laundry, meal prep, tidying up)
Additional Details:
Full-time position (50-55 hours per week)
Competitive pay of $35-40+ per hour, plus benefits
We offer both live-out and live-in options for the right candidate
Long-term commitment (1+ year preferred)
We’d love to hear from you if you’re a warm, experienced caregiver who enjoys creating a positive, structured environment for children with special needs. If you think you’d be a good fit, please reach out and let us know how you can contribute to our family!
Responsibilities:

Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
